What to bring to a mortgage application

  • Accepted copy of sales contract, legal description of property.
  • Names and addresses for all employers for past 2 years.
  • Most recent monthly paycheck stubs showing year-to-date earnings.
  • Copies of your W2's for past 2 years.
  • If self-employed or commissioned, 3 years complete tax returns, current profit and loss statement.
  • List of all checking and savings accounts. Names, addresses, and account numbers. Previous three months statements on all accounts.
  • List of CD's and IRA accounts.
  • List of credit union accounts. Name, address, and account numbers.
  • List of stock owned, copy of brokers statements, savings bond serial number and amounts.
  • List of all open credit, auto loans, credit cards, loan companies, etc. Names, addresses, and account numbers.
  • Name, address, and account number for present or prior mortgage.
  • If bankrupt, complete schedule and discharge with a letter mortgage.
  • Release of any judgements of collections with letter of explanation.
  • If divorced, copy of divorce or separation papers.
  • VA certificate of eligibility and DD-214, if applying for VA mortgage.
  • Any other information that would be helpful in expediting your mortgage application.
